Frozen Paloma

My former roommate, Brittany, got me hooked on a paloma. It is the perfect drink- tart grapefruit juice and tequila. I always make margaritas with a frozen lime concentrate, and when I was in the store getting ingredients to make my Spicy Frozen Margaritas, I saw that Kroger also stocked frozen grapefruit concentrate. An idea was born: make the classic paloma into a frozen cocktail. Boom!

1 can frozen grapefruit concentrate

1 cup frozen watermelon, cubed

2 cups of ice

1/2 cup simple syrup or 1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup orange juice or 2 shots of Cointreau

1 cup tequila

  1. This couldn’t be simpler— place all ingredients into a blender and blend. Add more ice as needed until the mixture has the consistency of an Icee.

  2. Note: To make this spicy, add a few slices of jalapeno to the blender, and top with fresh jalapeno slices. Thank me later.
