Friday Favorites
One of my favorite bloggers, Kate from Lonestar Southern, makes a list of things that she’s loving lately, and I’m going to start doing the same. These are the things that I usually send to my GroupMe of college friends or my mom or sister. And now I’m sharing with all of you.
1) Crocodile Handbag
I just ordered this from Nordstrom. Such a great price point, and I’m always looking for a bag that’s big enough to run errands with during the day, but elegant enough to go out with at night. I think this does both of those beautifully, and it also comes in black and brown (I ordered the taupe).
2) Exercise Dress knockoff
If you know me, you know I love my Outdoor Voices exercise dress. Outdoor Voices actually just redesigned it, including adjustable straps (which was my biggest complaint from the previous version), so I might have to order the new one at some point. However, $100?! It just seems overpriced for what you get. I found this dupe on Amazon, and I had to try. Sizes are pretty limited in stock right now. However, I think it’s a great dupe for the real thing. The material is a little more shiny, and honestly kind of reminds me of that American Apparel dress that everyone wore to swaps in college— I guess that’s a “if you know, you know” kind of thing. Anyway, the verdict is that for $40, it’s a great alternative to the OV original.
3) Neutrogena Sunscreen
Everyone, everywhere barks at all of us to wear more sunscreen. My moisturizer and foundation both contain sunscreen, but I was looking for something light for my face. I found this Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen and I’m obsessed. I’m linking it here, but I actually found mine at Marshall’s for $4.99. Win!
4) Cold Brew Maker
I like hot and cold coffee pretty equally, and my taste for one over the other really depends on the season. Since the weather has been warming up, I’ve been gravitating more toward cold coffee. I try to limit my trips to Starbucks or other coffee shops out of frugality, and the jug of cold brew from the grocery store isn’t incredibly economical either. I decided to try out this cold brew pitcher from Amazon. We just had the coffee for the first time this morning— so good!
5) APL Dupes
I’m obsessed with these sneakers! They are so comfy and great for running. And they look just like APLs for a fraction of the price. (See pic above).
xoxo,
